I used air dry clay, so I had to use “everyday” tools instead of my normal clay tools. I made flat snakes. I use a little water to help keep the clay moving. I used the plastic tub to form the circle. After the clay sets, I use a straw to punch a series of holes in the clay. Here are the pieces that I start with. I liked this creation, but I didn’t love it. After playing around with the clay pieces and digging up some more salvaged scraps, I came up with this piece. I like it.
